Ariel
My name is ARIELITO
I suffered from cancer since I was 14 years old
Today my light went out
And I had to shine next to God
Today an angel left
Borrowed from god
A warrior
An angel
A champion
A fighter
A sower of love
An immense light that guided us to happiness
Arielito
A gift from god
What was borrowed
And today we return it, goodbye
God bless you always.
Arielito will forever be with us.

Kairi
Kairi was both sassy and sweet, and our whole team fell in love with her during her lengthy hospitalization. She was a talented artist, and we treasured the portrait drawings of nursing staff she had posted on her door (with a loving message thanking healthcare heroes, aww.) She went through this grueling journey in her own way- not wanting staff to hover over her, definitely not wanting to be called "Miss Kairi," and definitely, definitely not wanting a "sad bagel" (ie a plain bagel with nothing on it.) We are holding her Mom Kim, her stepdad Albert, and her siblings Kaylene and Adam in our thoughts and hearts during this most difficult time, and it was truly an honor to be part of her care.
