Celebrating The Life of Our Beloved Sophia Lan Duong

-Forever in our Hearts-Always Loved-Never Forgotten- Darling Daughter, Sweet Sibling, Beautiful Granddaughter, Courageous Niece, Loving Cousin, Caring Friend, and Amazing Softball Sister to many. 9/4/2005 -9/21/2021

Sophia, a scholar-athlete, college bound with dreams to play softball collegiately and pursue her dreams, had her whole life ahead of her. God however had other plans for our beautiful daughter.

As many of you know Sophia’s journey in life unexpectedly changed forever. Nevertheless, Sophia remained that sassy warrior through it all. Playing the most important game of her life, Sophia continued her tenacious, brave, and strong attitude no matter what pitch was thrown at her. She always kept her head in the game and finally got a pitch she loved that brought our beautiful courageous daughter home to God. And now we celebrate the homecoming of our baby girl’s sweet, beautiful soul.

Sophia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whether it be at home, the movies, the river, an escape room, an amusement park, or anywhere she could spend time with the people she loved. She liked social media like most teenagers, making Tik Tok videos, Snapchats, Instagram, etc. She enjoyed eating, trying out new foods, and just started to learn to cook herself. However, her passion for the game of softball with her softball sisters was second to none. Always humble and never wanting to be in the spotlight she always seemed to shine, on and off the field. From what we have gathered, Sophia has touched and inspired countless friends, softball sisters, and family and we are forever grateful that her life will get to live on forever.

My darling daughter, your beauty, smile, laugh, sassiness, and passion you put into everything you did will live on always in our hearts. You have touched and inspired so many lives throughout your journey. You’re an amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend with a beautiful soul. Your divine presence, spirit, and memories will forever be with us, even though the touch of your skin, forehead kisses, your smell, endless hugs, laughs, tears, talks, catching for you, and taking you to the softball field will be forever missed. This is not goodbye, but rather until we meet again, my sweet baby girl.
