Johanna

Johanna had been accepted to college in New York to study to become a writer when she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of her left arm. She was a very bright young woman with a strong heart and a determined spirit. She was determined to fight her disease and endured many months of chemotherapy, an arm amputation, lung surgeries and radiation. She fought for nearly two years, seeking any treatment possible, and had the never ending support of her younger sister, mother and father. She unfortunately died before her sister's quincinera, which Johanna was planning for her. Johanna is forever with us!
